This is my story with treating patients with Invisalign!
When it comes to this particular treatment, experience and training of the team and doctor is THE MOST IMPORTANT! If you’ve been thinking and researching this subject you have probably run into horrendous and scary stories! Stories of disappointment and failures. Years of treatment, refinements, redos and so on and so forth… I’m here to tell you that those stories are true! Invisalign in the wrong hands can do some serious damage to your teeth, jaw and TMJ.
For your treatment to be successful, you’ll need to see a provider that is explicitly trained and EXPERIENCED in this field but also in the field of cosmetics and TMJ! Some orthodontist are rather good at this, moving teeth is what they do! And they have practiced this field since the beginning. MOST GENERAL DENTISTS ARE NOT! We weren’t when we started and we had our fair share of disappointments, trust me!
Most of our first 40 or so cases were absolutely a nightmare. All I wanted was for those cases to be over and I told myself never again I’m starting an Invisalign case. Just let me get through this… In fact I think I prayed most in this period of my life!
But then I met an expert by pure serendipity. As if my prayers were answered! This particular orthodontist who had been involved with this technique for a very long time, practically since the inception of the company started to help me to finish the cases I had already started and wallah!! It worked, not only did it work it was like magic. All of a sudden teeth started moving in the right direction.
Since then I have finished those cases and moved on to treat hundreds of others! This has become my passion and life work since. I have finished cases that orthodontists would not dream attempting using Invisalign, they simply think it’s not possible. I have helped my other orthodontic and general practice friends start and finish cases using these invisible aligners.
Our team has as well been thrown in and mastered both the clinical side and administrative side of this treatment. They have come a long way and they enjoy providing excellent service and care to our Invisalign patients as well. In fact a couple of them are also in treatment now, and they understand our patients concerns and issues with the treatment like no one else.
Now a days we treat and finish most cases in less than 8 months. We offer it to adults and teens (the responsible ones!). We offer the best prices and follow up services in the area. Just research us on line and find out for yourself!
We look forward to treating you and your “jumbled” teeth wirelessly…
READ ON FOR MORE DETAIL ABOUT OUR INVISALIGN TREATMRNT BELOW IN THE FORM OF MOST COMMON QUESTIONS I HEAR AT MY OFFICES!
Will my teeth relapse after? Yes, like any other orthodontic treatment without proper retention of teeth after treatment relapses are common. Our treatment includes retention by various methods of your choice after you have reached desired results (removable, fixed and combinations).
Does my insurance cover Invisalign? Most times they do. If you have coverage for orthodontics that would include Invisalign as well! And orthodontics coverage does not affect your coverage for other dental treatments. Come to Bright Smiles for all your treatment. You will get best results, best service and save time and lots of money!
Can I make payments? Yes we set up interest free payments and offer 5% discount on payments made in full! However in most cases a down payment is required. This is meant to cover our Invisalign lab fees. The remainder of the balance is broken down into monthly automatic payments. They start as low as 100 dollars. The longer and more complicated your case is, usually the lower your payments end up being. We have a lowest price guarantee and match! We can because we are one of the highest providers of this treatment and we receive exclusive pricing from Invisalign!
How often do my aligners need changing? Usually every 2 weeks but depending on your case, and the type of movements desired your treatments can be accelerated at the doctors discretion!
How long are aligners worn each day? They are worn all day and all night, except for when eating or drinking anything but water.
What’s the home care like? You need to brush and floss your teeth after eating and drinking, then put your aligners back in and keep on aligning…
Can I take them off when on phone or talking to customers? NO! As with most things in life your body will adapt to normal function usually after a couple of days of wear. All your lisps and unwanted salivary ejections will go away after the second day. We have seen it so many times that we guarantee it!!
Will I need to wear any elastics or rubber bands with the aligners? In most cases No, but in some cases that the treatment includes a change in bite and your malocclusion (fancy word for bad bite) is severe elastics may be needed! In our practice we’ve had a total of less than 10 cases with elastics and our patients have adapted after the first week or so. However keep in mind that elastics wear and its need is usually the same with regular braces and Invisalign.
Will my treatment be faster with traditional metal braces? Surprisingly no, because of the treatment goals with Invisalign and its totality of coverage of teeth, in ours practice most cases finish in less than half the time that our regular braces finish! However Invisalign treatment is not for every case and certainly not every person!
How do I know if it is the right treatment for me? Best way to know is to visit our office for a complimentary consult! But here’s a general run down of what might make you the right candidate, if you answer yes to any of the following or nod your head even a little then this may be the thing for you !
- Are you hesitant to show your teeth?
- Do you have spaces, crowding, under bite, over bite, gummy smile, or teeth that are not looking the way you want them?
- Have you been told by your gp that only braces can fix it?
- Are your lower front teeth slowly getting more crowded and your upper incisors slowly more buck?!
- Have your parents fixed you up in your teen years with braces and you never cared to wear your retainers? ( this is the most common type of story we hear)
- Are you about to be getting married and want these pictures to be your best? Are you about to be doing it for the second time and want this one to be better than the last one?!! And our treatment includes “FREE BLEACHING”. You’ll never be this ready to tie the knot!
- Can my teenager use it? Absolutely but only if you consider them responsible! Invisalign is successful in patients that are motivated, responsible and mindful! Invisalign Teen treatment is provided specifically by Invisalign for these kinds of teens! They provide additional aligners in case your teen loses them, and they come with special features to show home care and wear. But no amount of fancy features can fix irresponsibility in those ages. So only do this for your teen if you think they are good with instructions and not misplacing things.
On the other hand, it can be very beneficial in these cases because home care and keeping teeth looking healthy and clean is much easier with Invisalign!
JUST REMEMBER WE WILL HAPPILY SEE YOU FOR A FREE CONSULT!
Any other question you have we are just a phone call away. Our staff can inform you on most issues and questions just over the phone. And they’re very nice people and would love to talk to you! For specific treatment question and wear ask for Chrystal (she’s wearing her aligners for a few months now) and for administrative questions ask for Sara! She’s the expert in all administrative, insurance and general concerns! She also knows a tremendous amount about the treatment itself, she’s been dealing with it for a few years now…
